Merry Christmas!

Kail being an elf...He is such a beautiful boy...I know I am biased but he looks so adorable!

Brian, Savannah, Shannon, Brad, Ethan, Dee Dee, Pap Pap, Andy, Kail, Megan and Drew....the whole Carroll clan.

Drew's favorite presents was a giraffe from Aunt Shannon, Uncle Brian, Brad, Ethan and Savannah. He loves his new friend! For about a month or 2 he has been in love with giraffes. He has a Noah's ark book and all the animals are magnets. He immediately took a liking to the giraffe and tells everyone about the giraffe!

Drew opening some presents...he had fun but it was really overwhelming for a 2 year old. He got very cranky and also he is getting in 4 molars so he had an excuse!

Kail wanted ribbons and bows from Santa...He loved to eat them. He was really not interested in presents at all! Maybe next year he will want presents!

The Christmas tree....and Santa was good to us this year!

Ethan, Dee Dee, Drew, Brad, Savannah, Pap Pap and Kail....it was so hard to get everyone looking the right way! After 225 tried this was he best picture I could get!

Shannon, Savannah, Brad, Megan, Dee Dee, Kail, Ethan, Pap Pap and Drew all on the couch!

Kail wants to head for Miami for Christmas....it is sunny and warm there!

Where is Drew hiding? Andy was a little irritated about the ribbon but hey it was fun....fun for Andy to roll back up!

Drew got into my Christmas ribbon and had a blast!

Auntie Cheryl gave Drew and Kail matching PJ'S...they look like twins, almost!

Our Gingerbread House. Drew loved eating it as I made it! His black eye came from the fire dept open house...he did a good job banging his head!

Merry Christmas!

Santa was very good to us all this year! Drew was overwhelmed and very fussy. He enjoyed opening some presents but tired quickly! Kail went around and ate ribbon and bows off presents! My sister, Shannon and her family are here visiting from England and so that has been fun! Brad is 10, Ethan is 6 and Savannah is 14 months old. They all enjoy playing together and Drew is fascinated by the older boys! Andy came to Pinehurst to my parents for Christmas Eve and Dy but retrned this evening to get back to work! Everyone enjoyed visiting with him and hated he had to rush back to the daily grind...but someone has to pay the bills! I hope to update some pictures maybe tomorrow so everyone can see the christmas fun! Hope everyone had a very merry and wonderful holiday! We sen dwarm wishes and hugs to all!

The Week...

Drew and Kail with Santa...It was so hard to even get one of them to look at the camera! Oh well! We tried! Drew still is not sure about this Santa guy or even getting the fact that he brings presents! Maybe next year it will be really exciting!
Drew loved playing in the Poinsettia's at the Youngsville Fire Dept. Christmas party. He was thrilled with them but then decided how fun it was to tear the flowers! Rotten little man!

Drew left his milk on the toy table and guess who found it! Kail decided he can drink out of a sippy cup and likes Milk! He is way to young for so many things but he wants to be just like Drew...maybe it is a good thing!

Drew and Kail playing in the tub...Drew finally realizes they can cause trouble together and Kail is not an inconvenience! So cute to see them playing and smiling!

Kail and his big smile...It is rare for him to smile at the camera...It comes out and he stops smiling but in real life he smiles all day long! He is so so cute!

Drew and his favorite hat...He wants to be just like his Daddy!

Drew hanging a ball on the tree! He loves the tree and is fascinated with the lights!

Kail standing at the toy table getting ready to cause some trouble! He is rotten and in EVERYTHING! We are always chasing him away from something! Now that he can crawl and stand he wants no one to hold him...I wanna go go go!

Drew in his tigger hat that Grandma and Grandpa Dudash got him from Disney! He loves it almost as much as his fire helmet! He is so so busy too!

I am feeling much better. I finally get my stitches out on Tuesday! Yeah! I am about to itch myself to death! It is hard to recover after chasing the monsters around, thankfully my Aunt Macky is here to help me! I don't know how I would recover with out her help! Andy is ready for a busy week and is doing great. I think he is happy since Santa brought him a new laptop for Christmas and he got it already! I better get off to bed...Happy Days to all!

Recovery and The Kids...

I am recovering slowly from my Gallbladder surgery. Still feeling really tired and sore....It takes some time for that to go away! The kids have no idea that I am hurt and they still want to torture me by jumping on me! Drew begs me to pick him up and I have to tell him no but I can sit with you! Kail is just Kail....He was standing at the table this morning and he found Drew's sippy cup....He figured out how to drink out of it! It had whole milk in it and it did not seem to bother Kail! Kail can also walk down the table with holding on and it drives me crazy...he s super fast! I just dont know what to do with him! Drew had therapy today and did great....He said penguin and monkey! Ashley, was so suprised at how well he is doing and his words are just flowing right out! He is super smart little man! We have an advent calendar and he loves getting chocolate or candy from "Santa" - he can't wait for christmas and presents! I better run and get a few things done! Have a great day!

Gallbladder's Suck!

Thanksgiving day I woke up feeling kind of bad but kepig in spirit I ignored the pain until I could no longer bear it. I went to the emergency room early friday morning to discover I had gall stones and a very unhappy gallbladder. We parted ways about 6 pm friday night and have been feeling much better just sore from surgery. I have 4 nice incisions that they made and hopefully they will be smaller than I imagine once the bandages come out! I am suppose to hav 2-4 weeks recovery with no lifting over 5 pounds...imagine that! Thankfully, My Aunt Macky is here taking care of the boys to help me out with recovery...God bless her! Send us lots of well wishes and a quick speedy recovery!

The Boys!

Last night about midnight, Kail was awake...wide awake. After giving him a bottle and putting him back in his crib I went to check on him to find him standing up. I swear, he is so strong and growing so fast. I guess today we have to lower the mattress down so he won't jump out! Andy was shocked when I told him this morning!

Drew started saying Giraffe and won't stop. I think I heard it over thousand times on Saturday. Macky, my aunt is here and she asked me to make him stop saying it. Every time you asked him a qustion he would say Giraffe, it is annoying but so adorable! I guess he really like giraffes! He is not enjoying Kail moving so much and taking his toys. It seems to irritate him quite a bit. I think once Kail is on his level it will make him much happier to play with him!

Other than that we are doing great and getting exciting about the holidays!

Kail is pulling up to stand, alredy!

So this week Kail has started pulling himself up to stand at the table! He is so strong and will be walking so soon! Kail does this thing with his mouth and he says OHHH. So here is the progression of hs face doing it...It is adorable to see him do it and makes you giggle!

Drew drinking...trying to drink Andy's beer but it is not open! He holds the can up to his mouth pretends to drink and then says Ahhhh! He is so silly!

Kail eatin zweiback bread and he loved it! Maybe just maybe it will help him get his teeth in!

Dre working and doing his chores! He loves the vacuum so much! I finally decided it is best to let him just work rather than take it away!

Kail in the bath tub. He is so big that he only wishes to sit in the tub now, no more laying down! That is for babies!
Drew with Minnie and Donald in the tub. We even had to wash them with soap and water! He is so silly!

Drew taking DeeDee out for a ride in the car! Pretty cute huh?

Al Bundy from Married with Children!

Kail crawled all the way under the table to play! He was very happy at first but then he kept hitting his head and got pissed off! He does not seem to understand the concept of wood being hard just yet!

So busy we have been. We all have been sick and last week everone went to the doctor! That was a blast! I think everyone is better or on the mend and we hope to say cold free till next year! Drew is doing great and busy as ever. He has been talking more and more...saying some silly things! He told me he was rotten and I kindly agreed with him! He was 29.5 lbs last week at the doctor....amazing huh? It is so hard for me to even imagine the growth over 2 years! He is getting really tall and every day his pants are shorter and shorter on his legs! Kail on the other hand will soon eat us out of the house! He eats so much everyday it is fascinating! He is going to catch Drew soon! I think that Kail will be walking by Christmas time - It almost feels like Drew was a baby forever and Kail was a baby for a super short time! I better get going and get some things done! Have a great day and we will try to update a little quicker if Kail and Drew agree to let me have some free time! Love to all!

Kail is off!

Kail is offically crawling now...He has been going backwards for a few weeks and finally today he is off....Drew hates it already as Kail keeps crawling to him and trying to steal his toys! Kail will be 7 months old next week on the 14th, it seems like it took forever for Drew to crawl! So now the chasing begins and being pulled in all different directions!

Comments

Hi! A few people mentioned nt being able to leave comments and you can at the bottom of the blog, it says posted by megan, andy, drew and kail dudash and then comments. You just click there and can leave them! Sorry I forgot to mention it before!

Drew is doing great and enjoyed spending Monday with my friend Rachel and her little girl, Hannah. They played so great together and we so gentle to each other! Then he was so busy with Vision therapy yesterday and Developmental theerapy today. He did great both days and really is right on target!

Kail is huge and moving more each and every day! He is such a busy boy and can't wait to play with Drew. Drew hates that Kail wants to touch him and his toys, I guess it only gets worse as they get bigger! Kail also eats like a horse or would even eat a horse! He has 4 jars of baby food a day and 6-7 bottles a day! He is going to be built just like Andy!

Other than that we are doing great! I graduated from my 1st cake decorating class last week and begin my 2nd class tonight. It is so much fun and so worth it! I am having a blast and the fire dept. loves eatng cakes on Thursday's! Last week I made a Ghost cake for Halloween...it was adorable! ANdy is busy at work and then watching the boys when I am away at class! I better run and take a shower! Have a great day and leave us comments...we love them!

Happy Halloween

Kail, aka Dan Marino. Kail was a Miami Dolphins Football player for Halloween. He was going to be a skeleton but it was a little chilly for that outfit. Thankfully my Aunt Cookie and Uncle Johnny Ocean had sent this to Kail a few weeks ago. I doubt they thought that Kail would wear the outfit for Halloween!
Drew, aka Terry Bradshaw. Okay so here is the Halloween drama.....Drew was going to be a lion but last week when we tried it on he had outgrown it by about 4 inches so we had to get another outfit. Andy picked out this Monkey that was adorable but the first one was to small. So we went and got another one and Drew refused to wear it. He kept pulling at it and saying "off" so I knew he would never wear it out to trick-or-treat at Flat Rock Baptist Church's Trunk or Treat! Sue Sue, Andy's cousin had given Drew this shirt when we were in PA so I thought Drew could be a Steeler! He was fine with it and loved having the make-up on!

I was a kitty cat and Drew was tickled with my mask! He smiled and laughed at me the whole night!

Drew and Kail....Our little football players! Getting some treats! After we left Trunk or Treating we ran over to see Grandma and Grandpa Dudash. They were quite surprised when we rang the doorbell and were there! It was a long night but we had a lot of fun and Drew will be ready for it next year!

Drew was getting some candy! He was kinda of scared at first but then he opened right up and was all about getting handfuls of candy!

Grandpa Dudash and his boys.....Drew does not like any one to hold Kail...everyone must tend to him so he was being so sweet to try to get Grandpa to dump Kail! Little does Drew know that Grandpa loves them both!

Drew eating some Halloween candy, M&M's! He loved getting candy once he realized that it was candy he was getting! I did take a lot of it away from him and give him good treats since all he wants to do is eat from the Halloween bucket!

Mmmmmmm....these are so good! I love candy! Drew has been eating Carnation Instant Breakfast since he is so skinny. The doctor also recommended PediSure but we have not tried that yet! He is so much like me and prefers junk food and bread as opposed to meat and potatoes like his Daddy! Drew is not terribly underweight but could stand to gain a few pounds!

Kail on the move except the arm of the toy got in his way! He has a black eye from Drew pushing him off the kitchen counter top on Monday. I had Kail in his Bumbo seat and in an instant Drew had reached him and Kail was tumbling thru space. I was so upset and felt so bad but I can't be in a million places at once. I guess it also won't be his last black eye!

Drew inside his toy box that holds his blocks. For some reason he decided to climb in the box and play. Funny thing was he was stuck and could not get back out of it! He is into the MINE stage....My Mommy, My toys, Mine! It is so cute but yet so annoying too! No matter who's it is it is his! I guess it is just the way it works!

Kail smiles! He is getting so big and is so in motion. It scares me to death....what do you do with 2 kids who are mobile an running in different directions? Argh!
Some of our loyal fans like the carepages better than the blog, I am sorry but it was getting to hard to update and download pictures. One reason was I don't put as much info into this blog as I did the carepages...I just have time to update with pictures and a few words. We are doing really good...Drew is doing amazing and is right on track for a child his age. It takes a lot of hard work on my part and the 2 therapists he sees, one for vision on Tuesday's and developmental on Wednesday's. We try to keep him on a home school schedule where we are doing a lot of the same things daily with him. He is doing amazing with his vision. He does not return to the Optometrist until February so we hope to have more info on his vision then. I am struggling with Preschool - Governor Morehead has a great program but it is downtown Raleigh about an hour away and I really don't think he needs to be in a place that's primary focus is vision. I really feel like he needs to be in a mainstream environment - I mean he has done amazing so far and I push him hard, sometimes to hard! I better quite my rambling and get to bed! Have a great day and Happy November!

Hill Ridge Farms

Andy and Drew....At Hill Ridge Farms here in Youngsville. We went to the Pumpkin Patch and on the Hay Ride. Drew loved it and ran around like a crazy person.
Drew in the maze....He loved that he could see Andy as he went thru it! He kept trying to get to him over the wall of the maze!
Drew so tickled as he finished the maze! He was so happy for himself and I just thought he was adorable!
Kail just watches everything..soaking up a wealth of information!
Kail on the Hay Ride bouncing and jumping all over the place! He is so happy or either so mad!
My Dad and Drew on the Hay Ride. Drew was trying not to laugh and be serious. I was taking pictures and wanted smiles or giggles!
The attempt at a Family Portrait for Halloween/Fall cards! Forget that idea, Drew was having nothing to do with us! Pumpkins are way more important than a family picture!
Drew picked his pumpkin and then he would throw them! He is so funny! He was fascinated with all the pumpkins.....He was running from pumpkin to pumpkin.
At the end of the day, Drew was picking a flower. He is so sweet!
